Spinal Hydatidosis Relapse: A Case Report
Human cystic echinococcosis (CE) is a zoonosis caused by the larval stage of the Echinococcus granulosus and the most common sites affected are the liver and lung in approximately 80-90% of cases. The hydatid bone represents the 0.5-2.5% of all cases and localization cord is present about 50% of the time. متن کاملMuscular cystic hydatidosis: case report
BACKGROUND Hydatidosis is a zoonosis caused by Echinococcus granulosus, and ingesting eggs released through the faeces from infected dogs infects humans. The location of the hydatid cysts is mostly hepatic and/or pulmonary, whereas musculoskeletal hydatidosis is very rare. CASE PRESENTATION We report an unusual case of primary muscular hydatidosis in proximity of the big adductor in a young S...
متن کامل[Case report: secondary pleural hydatidosis].
Hydatid cyst has a predilection to locate in liver, lungs, and brain. Intrathoracic extrapulmonary locations are generally the mediastinum, pleura, pericardium and chest wall. Pleural involvement usually follows the rupture of a pulmonary or hepatic cyst inside the pleural space causing secondary pleural hydatidosis. Radiological investigations of a patient suffering from cough and dyspnea reve...
